What a wonderful evening at Tommy Bahamas in Newport Beach. We had reservations for 5:15 pm but managed to get a nice high-top table in the bar. Kati was our fantastic server and what a gem of a person. The ambiance was hopping and the live entertainment was pleasant and uplifting. We started with drinks as my wife had a Mojito and I had a few Don Julio 1942 on a large rock. The coconut shrimp was a great appetizer, yummy. For entrees my wife ordered the Mahi Mahi grilled fish tacos and I had the filet mignon medium rare with sautéed spinach and mashed potatoes. The food was fantastic and the service stellar. We visited with Pilar the GM as she is an amazing person. We were so excited to hear about her recent trip to Thailand which sounded amazing. What an experience. It was so nice to see and talk with Pilar. Kati provided awesome service and we finished with coffee and vanilla ice cream yummy. We also saw Megan one of our favorite bartenders and exchanged greetings.
Such an amazing place and always special.
