Dr. Higgins was born and raised in Louisville, KY, and returned to his hometown as the first ENT physician in the area with advanced fellowship training in endoscopic sinus and skull base surgery.

His contributions to the field include numerous publications and book chapters. He has been recognized as a Top Sinus Surgeon by Louisville Magazine on three occasions.
