Ousmane Dembélé was born on May 15, 1997 in the quiet town of Vernon, in northern France. Since childhood, their parents Fatima and her husband saw in him a natural talent and passion for the beautiful game. Originating in Mali and Mauritania, emigrating to Europe in search of greater opportunities is a common story for many African families. Growing up in the humble neighborhood of Evreux, Ousmane spent hours kicking balls with local children, their boundless energy and effortless skills already suggesting he would one day become a star. Instead of destroying his dreams, Usman's parents supported his aspirations to play football, matriculando-in youth, where their talents could truly be refined.
